Sit Soft connects you with one local specialist for sofa repair, re-upholstery, deep cleaning or renovation. This page says exactly what we collect, who receives it, and how to have it removed.
What we collect
- Your name and mobile number. So the specialist can call you back.
- Your area — PIN code, and the locality you picked. So we can find someone who works there.
- What you need — the service, and anything you typed in the notes.
- Your address, if you gave one. Optional; the specialist phones you anyway.
We do not collect your email, your payment details, or anything from your device beyond what your browser sends any website.
Who it goes to
Exactly one specialist. Not a list, not an auction, not everyone in your area. Your enquiry is sent to a single Sit Soft vendor, and only that vendor sees your name and number.
We ask for your explicit consent before that happens — the tick box on the enquiry form is never pre-ticked, and nothing is sent until you verify your number with the code we text you.
What we never do
- We never sell your details.
- We never share them with more than one specialist.
- We never take payment from you. Sit Soft is free for customers, always.
- We never publish your full name. A review you write shows your first name only, and only if you choose to write one.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while they are useful for support and for the records a business is required to keep — around two years. A review you write stays as long as it is published, because a review that can be quietly deleted is a review nobody should believe.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to privacy@sitsoft.in from the number or with the details you gave us, and we will act within thirty days.
If you withdraw consent after your enquiry has already been sent, we will stop using your details but we cannot un-send them to the specialist who already received them. Ask them directly to delete their copy.
Verification codes
We text you a code to confirm the number is yours. This protects you — without it, anyone could put your number into our form. The code itself is never stored; only a one-way hash of it is, so a copy of our database cannot be used to replay your verification.
